Take a quick survey to your right
What’s REM Sleep? What is the difference between REM and NREM sleep?
In NREM, muscles are paralyzed but in REM the muscles aren’t.
NREM (non-rapid eye movement sleep) happens first while one is still awake , it contains 4 stages , the last 2 stages occur when one is in deep sleep .
REM sleep happens about an hour and a half after falling asleep. In REM stage dreams are more likely to occur.
NREM dream usually are reported to be short and don’t contain a lot of detail. While in REM sleep they are more detailed and immersive dreams and subjects are able to recall them on a much more detailed level.
